In the past I wrote about vision and how important it is for success. Today I want to take a look at executing your vision and a few steps to help you along the way. Simply having a good vision is not enough. You must blaze a trail to get to your vision and these four steps can give you a great place to start.
1. What is motivating your vision? We alway know how important it is to have a vision for your business but what is the motivation behind your vision? Some are motivated by financial gains while others are motivated by the freedom of owning a business. The motivation behind your vision is key to pushing you through the rough patches and will come in handy so take some real time and reflect on this.
2. Adjust your perspective. Your perspective of situations determines how you will react to them. Things are going to go well and go badly and your perspective is the only thing that you can truly control. If you don’t have a handle on your perspective every single set back will derail your plans and increase stress. How your view your situation good or bad is crucial to overall success.
3. Be SMART. Smart stands for Specific, Measured, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely. This acronym should be applied to every goal you set in your business. This will weed out time wasting strategies and keep progress moving forward.
4. Find a friend. It is always good to have a wing man and business is no different. Recruit someone who you trust who can help you stay on track and how shares the same vision. Having a buddy will help you to offload stress even if it’s just to vent. Business ownership is hard work and no one is immune to moments of weakness.
At Setster we want you to succeed in your vision plan so try these 4 steps and let us know how it goes. Good luck.
