But other than an awareness that YouTube exists, most of us are completely unaware of how to actually utilize it as a business tool. Here are some tips on how you could use Youtube to grow your small business and sell your time and your services.

Highlight your Brand, not Products.

Try to make the videos highlight your brand as whole, not anyone specific product. When your trying to reach an audience that you might only get one chance to make an impression on, it is important that you reiterate your brand name so that they can remember you easily. Detailing a specific product during an introductory phase, unless the product is absolutely earth shattering, may not be the most effective way to get into peoples’ heads

How To/Product Support Videos

Making videos that walk people through how to use your products can be very helpful to your customers and also show that you care. You could also do videos that detail really cool and innovative ways to take advantage of your products. For instance, if you owned Diet coke, you could make a video showing how putting a Mentos in a bottle of Diet Coke makes it erupt in a really cool way, and show some cool examples of things you can do with that information.

Your website and your social media presence serve different purposes in marketing your business. Your website tells people about your services. Your social media presence tells people a lot about what kind of company you are, through your interactions with others Having both of those components in one accessible place gives potential cliental a full picture of your company and its services, in the easiest and most direct way possible.

A lot of businesses post videos on YouTube every day, only to have said videos meander quickly into obscurity. If you show a YouTube video directly on your profile, you are catering to a targeted audience that already is interested in your product. This allows you to use social media to actually sell your service. You can get customer excited about the product with cool YouTube video and positive feedback streamed directly from twitter, and then once their hooked, they can make an appointment immediately, without ever having to go to another website.
